Last week started out a bit rocky for Hilary Clinton when she labeled half of Donald Trump supporters, “Basket of deplorables,” and then ended with her early exit from a 9/11 ceremony which, leaves voters with some speculation about the 68 year old Presidential nominees health.
Although it is early to say how the state of Ohio will fare in this one of a kind election years, according to a recent CNN poll, Trump has taken the lead by 4 points.
Now, the margin of sampling error for this specific poll was 3 points but it seems a bit ironic that the shift took place just after Hilary’s health issues became a factor. Hilary reported feeling “over heated” during the 9/11 event in New York City.
According to Hilary Clinton’s doctor, “Secretary Hilary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies. On Friday during follow up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia.”
Hilary Clinton and her campaign responded to the recent polls which had Trump ahead of her saying, “It’s always been expected Ohio would be competitive.” They also announced the recent opening of six new offices around the state of Ohio so it does not look like she is backing down from this battleground state by any means
Whether this health concern for Hilary Clinton has any major sway in the eyes of voters is left to be said, but the shift in the polls is curios considering she has been leading for a while up until recent events that may or may not be the cause.
