A new poll from the University of New Hampshire Survey Center  and Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram has solidified Trump’s lead in the 2nd Congressional District. ReminderMaine is one of two states that splits their electoral votes by congressional district and statewide.

The poll shows Trump leading in the 2nd Congressional District by 48% to Clinton’s 34%. In the 1st Congressional District, the polls are reversed. Clinton is leading by 50%, followed by Trump at 28% and 14% supporting other candidates.

Before heading into tonight’s debate, Clinton is looking at securing 3 electoral votes: 2 for winning the state overall, and 1 for securing the 1st District, while Trump would win 1 vote from the 2nd District.

In a race as close as this one, every electoral vote counts. It will be interesting to see the polling after tonight’s debate, so stay tuned!
