Twitter and social media, in general, has made it so easy for campaigns to get instant feedback from voters during live debates, speeches, or interviews. It also has created a way for political candidates and their campaigns to reinforce their messages during these events.
For many people their mindset: Is why watch the debate when I can watch my twitter feed? Other than serving as a tool for political campaigns, it is a great source of entertainment. Many last night had some great zingers.
