Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Utah have launched Utah Mormons for Hillary to support Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
Knowing the reluctance that Mormons have in voting for Trump, the Clinton campaign launched a new video titled “We are Mormons for Hillary.”
The video incorporates Utahan Hillary supporters such as former Utah Republican State Rep. Sheryl Allen, former Utah GOP State Rep. General David Irvine, and Democratic candidate for Utah State Senate Celina Milner, along with many more members of the group Utah Mormons for Hillary.
The supporters in the video read Hillary’s autobiography “It Takes a Village,” which hits some of her main campaign points such as the well being of families and children.
While many Utah voters (whether Mormon or not) are still unhappy with their choice of presidential candidates, this may have been the perfect time for Clinton’s team to launch a video like this, due to the recent Trump scandal that is turning many Utah republicans away from Trump.
As the election comes to its last month, both Clinton and Trump will be looking to gain the votes of these reluctant Utahans. This video is just one step in that process for Hillary.
