About two hours ago, the FBI announced that they plan to reopen Hillary Clinton’s email investigation. FBI Director James Comey noted that there are new emails important to her investigation, and they must be addressed.
As Clinton got off the plane for an event in Iowa, she dodged any questions asked by the press about this matter. During her rally, she has urged the folks in Iowa to “compare and contrast” between the two nominees, and to look at how much she has done over her last 30 years in politics.
However, Donald Trump addressed the re-investigation at his rally in New Hampshire saying, “Hillary Clinton’s corruption is on a scale that we have never seen before. We must not let her take her are criminal scheme into the Oval Office. I have great respect for the fact that the FBI and the department of justice are now willing to have the courage to right the horrible mistake that they made.” Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, tweeted, “A great day in our campaign just got even better. FBI reviewing new emails in Clinton probe.”
With less than 2 weeks before the election, this Friday bombshell is big news for those who are still on the fence between Clinton and Trump. Republicans are unsurprisingly ecstatic about the decision to re-investigate; however, Democrats are saying “wait a second” before jumping to any conclusions about Comey’s letter.
Regardless about how either side feels about Clinton’s emails, you can bet that the media’s coverage for this issue will skyrocket within the next few days, and depending on the slant of the media, up to November 8th.
What is it about Friday bombshells during this election?!
