Arizona looked promising to the Clinton Campaign a few weeks ago, but as the votes are coming in, it looks if Trump is going to win the Grand Canyon state.

The Clinton campaign poured millions of dollars in advertising and sent A-list surrogates (Michelle Obama, Bernie Sanders) to try to win the 11 electoral votes. Hillary Clinton even held an event in Arizona a week prior to the election to rally support. Above all, Arizona’s primary newspaper endorsed Secretary Clinton, something the paper has never done in its history.

But it didn’t work. Arizona hasn’t gone blue since Bill Clinton’s election and it looks like it will remain a red state in 2016.

Trump is currently at 49 percent of the vote compared to Clinton at 46 percent in the Grand Canyon State.

It’s still too close to call, but it looks like historically red Arizona won’t be swinging its vote to blue this election.
