After a long election cycle, Trump came out on top in both America and Utah. Here are the results:
Donald Trump received 46% of Utah’s votes, Hillary Clinton followed far behind with only 27%. Evan McMullin ended up in third place, with 20% of the votes followed by Gary Johnson with 3%.
But the presidency wasn’t the only election that took place in Utah. 4 republicans gained house seats including Rob Bishop, Chris Stewart, Jason Chaffetz, and Mia Love.
Senator Mike Lee, a republican who ran for reelection will remain in office.
Gary Herbert, Utah governor will also stay in office.
While Utah looked like it would become a battle ground state after the primaries, in the end the state stuck to its roots and stayed republican.
